My background is in Consumer Packaged Goods recruiting with an expertise in wellness, food and beverage, nutritional products, and household, and personal care products. Some of the brands I've worked with include Gatorade, Wrigley, Keurig, Seventh Generation and Green Mountain CBD.
I spent my first 10 years in recruiting in Chicago, doing experienced and campus recruiting with PepsiCo’s Quaker, Tropicana and Gatorade division, and Wrigley gum. In 2010, I moved to Vermont, and because of my experience as a campus recruiter, took the opportunity to join the University of Vermont as the Career Advisor for the Business School. I loved working with students one-on-one and was a frequent presenter in class and for clubs and organizations. I continue to work with UVM as an instructor teaching a career coaching module for adult learners completing certain certificates including Digital Marketing and The Business of Craft Beer.
When I left UVM, I started my own business - Campus to Career Solutions, working with students and recent grads one-on-one to help them get great jobs. During this time, I also worked as a contract recruiter with Keurig, Seventh Generation and most recently, National Life Group. While I was at Seventh Generation, I started getting calls from small, entrepreneurial, start-ups and businesses like UnReal, Big Tree Farms and Concept2, asking if I could help them fill some of their open positions. With Seventh Generation’s permission, I started to take on select contingent search clients. Other clients followed through word of mouth.
For the past 8 years I’ve been doing contract recruiting, contingent search, career advising and instruction – all at the same time. Now, I am consolidating these activities under one banner – Sue Schlom Consulting, LLC
